WHO Designed for families with children of all ages to serve together. Adults, high school and junior high students can also serve on their own.
WHAT Play games and eat dinner with foster children supported by our local outreach partner, Child SHARE, and give their parents a night out.

      Make Sack Lunches and “Welcome Home” Kits for Union Station Homeless Services

WHO High school and junior high students, and adults interested in connecting with youth.
WHAT Make sandwiches and pack sack lunches for homeless men, women and children. Pack “Welcome Home” kits for families moving into transitional housing including laundry and cleaning supplies and basic household items.

Serve and Learn about Homelessness with Brothers’ Helpers

WHO Multi-generational activity where all ages are welcome.
WHAT Wrap forks that will be used for the hot dinners Brothers’ Helpers makes and serves to LA’s poor and homeless during the week.  You will also learn about this organization and their ministry at LCPC that prepares almost 17,000 meals for LA’s homeless each year in the church kitchen.
OPTIONAL TO BRING Bring any of the following items to donate to their weekday ministry:

WHAT Pack relief bags for mothers and children in Burma, Iraq and Syria who are victims of war or violence. Items will include things like hygiene items, clothing, and personal notes. You will also hear about the amazing ministry of Free Burma Rangers to provide relief, medical training, and rescue to the oppressed.

  Work Day at Harambee Ministries

WHAT Help repair and beautify the Harambee facility by working on their garden beds and garden, painting, and deep cleaning some classrooms. You can sign up based on your interest in a particular project. 

 Work Day at Door of Hope

WHAT Help improve facilities for Door of Hope’s After School Program and Youth Program by tearing out an old counter, sink and cabinets and installing new ones so the space is more functional. No expertise required.

Thrift Store Sorting, Organizing and Cleaning with Bridges

WHAT Work day at this tutoring facility, including activities like painting and other light repairs.

Baby Shower for Pregnant Women in Crisis at Elizabeth House

WHEN Sunday, March 5, 3:00-5:00PM
WHERE Elizabeth House, 760 Santa Barbara St., Pasadena
WHO Women and children of any age.
WHAT Join a group of women to shower two moms-to-be with gifts and blessings at this home for pregnant women in crisis.
OPTIONAL TO BRING •Purchase a gift on the Target Registry. Contact Kristen at alumni@elizabethhouse.net or (626) 577-4434 for registry information.
•Provide a Target gift card.
•Food: tray of fruit, plate of cookies, veggie tray, drinks
•Used items: Bring your gently used baby clothes, toys, swings, strollers, new diapers, etc. to Elizabeth House on the date of the shower. These items will be used for all the women at the house.

Mom’s Night Out at Beacon Housing’s Casa de Alegria
