Story Seekers is our Sunday program for children 3 years old through kindergarten. The classes are led by a group of adults who not only provide a variety of activities related to the Bible story for the day but also create a welcoming and safe environment for the children. In Story Seekers your child will learn Bible stories, make crafts, sing songs, and participate in other activities that are related to the lesson. To keep you informed of what your child is learning, I send out a monthly parent email. It includes the ponder point (main point of the lesson), memory Bible verse and Bible stories for each month as well as a fun activity idea for you to do with your child reinforcing what they are learning on Sunday. We are currently using a curriculum called Tru.
We have Story Seeker classes at 9:25 and 11:00. Children are assigned to a class based on the year they are likely to enter Kindergarten. As a way to build relationships between children that will last as they go through school, the cut off date for the class is the same as the local public school districts, September 1st. We use color names for our classes. The colors are as follows:
- Blue- enrolled in Kindergarten in 2016-17
- Green- entering Kindergarten in 2017
- Yellow- entering Kindergarten in 2018
- Red- entering Kindergarten in 2019
At 9:25 Blue and Green are in room 205 and Red and Yellow are in room 105. At 11:00 all colors are combined in room 205. All classes participate in large group in room 104 but are dropped off and picked up in 205 or 105 as listed previously.

Every Sunday we bring all the Story Seekers together for an all-in time. We sing, review the Ponder Point & Remember Verse and tell the Bible story. This is a special time that children participate in during Sunday School. They are dropped off and picked up in their regular classrooms.
Feel free to drop off your child before going to Worship Service. Classrooms open 10 minutes before each service begins. You are also asked to sign in and indicate where you will be on campus. This is so if it is necessary for one of our teachers to contact you, they will know where to go. Feel free to leave your cell phone number as well so that we can text you if necessary.
Children will receive a snack of graham crackers and water each hour of class. If your child has an allergy to this snack item, please note this on the sign-in sheet and tell one of the teachers, each time you sign your child into class.
Health & Hygiene Policy
You can help us keep these rooms and your child’s experience with us a happy and healthy one by observing the following Health Guidelines. We ask you to keep your child at home when you observe any of the following:
- Discharge in or around the eyes
- Any questionable rash
- Green or yellow runny nose
- Communicable disease
If your child becomes ill while in our care, you will be notified promptly. If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he or she should have received treatment for at least 24 full hours before coming into the classroom. For your child’s protection, we ask our teachers to follow these same guidelines.
Please return to pick up your child by 10:45 AM or 12:25 AM. This is important, as families for the next service are arriving to check in their children and our teachers need to go to worship service, classes or with their families. We want to make the transition between services as smooth as possible for each child.
You must pick up your child yourself. You must also sign out on the sheet where you signed your child into the class. For security reasons, please do not send anyone to pick-up your child who you have not designated as the pick-up person when you dropped off your child. Children will only be released to adults, not to older siblings.
