The Tech Ministry provides sound, lighting, or video support for LCPC’s worship services. We strive to provide excellent audio/visual reinforcement that aids, but does not distract the congregation from the message of the worship as conveyed by pastors, musicians, speakers and actors who lead worship. LCPC has moved forward with the technology and makes use of Yamaha digital sound mixers, ETC lighting consoles, Mediashout 4, and other cutting edge A/V equipment to create an effective system.
Become a part of the Tech Ministry:
Under the direction of our Technical Operations Manager, Ed Myers, we have expanded this ministry into three different teams. Tech Ministry volunteers run sound, lights and media for all worship services, plus special events to support the worship experience from the A-V booth. We welcome people who are interested in using their technical interests and skills in one or more of these areas to help enhance worship. Whether you have extensive experience or none at all, we would love to find a place for you.
The Sound Team is involved in setting up and running sound for the each worship service. Anyone interested in live sound or recording should consider becoming involved in this ministry. It provides an opportunity to learn and grow technically while assisting in a very important aspect of worship.
The Lighting Team assists in operating the lighting board for the contemporary services on Sundays (11am) as well as designing and programming new lighting presets as needed. With the use of lights we attempt to create a colorful and exciting experience to enhance the worship experience. Anyone interested in lighting design or technology should consider joining the lighting team.
The Media Team is responsible for operating a computer that displays the song lyrics, video and other media on the screens in worship services. Anyone with basic computer knowledge should consider assisting on the media team.
Participation in worship services on the average of once or twice per month, can be tailored to the worship services that you normally attend.
No experience necessary to run media and video. Training is available.
Some familiarity with sound reinforcement or operating lighting boards is preferred; however, training is available.
