Covid Alert Update

Dear LCPC Friends & Members,
We have been notified that someone who attended the 9AM worship service on Sunday, December 19, has tested positive for Covid.
To our knowledge, people who came in contact with this person have been, and are being, tested for Covid. So far, all results are negative.
Therefore, we have decided to continue with our Christmas Eve and Sunday morning worship services as planned. We are taking additional precautions, including social distancing and limiting the number in worship, with overflow in the Family Life Center.
Wide spacing between family groups will be observed in the Sanctuary and Worship Arts Center. We will be limiting the number admitted into each space. The Family Life Center Fellowship Hall will be open for video access to all three services to provide more space and safety. All three services will be live streamed at live.lacanadapc.org.
Everyone attending will be registered at the door so we can keep those attending informed if there is any alert about COVID exposure. If you do attend in person, please remember that you must wear a mask over both your nose and mouth during the entire service.
We leave it up to your own discretion to recognize your own risk assessment and consider the safety of others as you decide whether or not to attend Christmas Eve services and the 10AM worship service in person this Sunday.
Also, we would like to remind you that per the California Department of Public Health:
The COVID-19 vaccines remain effective in preventing serious disease, hospitalization, and death from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Unvaccinated persons are more likely to get infected and spread the virus which is transmitted through the air and concentrates indoors. To ensure that we collectively protect the health and well-being of all Californians; keep schools open for in-person instruction; and allow California’s economy to remain open and thrive, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is requiring masks to be worn in all indoor public settings, irrespective of vaccine status, for the next four weeks (December 15, 2021 through January 15, 2022).
We encourage you to have vaccinations and boosters if you are going to participate in worship at LCPC. We want to continue to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Thanks for caring for all those around you, especially the very young, the old and the vulnerable.
Gareth Icenogle, Interim Senior Pastor
