Meal Donors | DOH is looking for volunteers to provide and drop off dinners at our two locations in Pasadena. Volunteers may pick a recurring day each month and cover one or both locations. Depending on the location, volunteers provide a meal for 7 to 12 adults. People can volunteer individually or as a group (family, LifeGroup, etc.).
When | Ongoing need Monday-Thursday evenings with delivery between 5:30-5:45.
Where | Pasadena locations (669 N. Los Robles and a second location within a few blocks).
Additional Details | Please drop off meals in disposable pans. Unfortunately, due to necessary COVID precautions, donors are unable to join the families for dinner. Masks are required for dropping off meals.

Childcare I At Door of Hope we are searching for volunteers who can provide childcare in the evenings while parents are attending life skills classes.

When I We teach life skills classes throughout the year. We are looking for volunteers who can volunteer on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 7-8 pm. The life skills classes run for six weeks.  It is not necessary that volunteers commit to all six weeks, although it is preferred to have as much consistency as possible, as this helps volunteers build trust with the children.

Where I Volunteers provide childcare at one of our four homes, either in Pasadena or Pasadena-adjacent.

Translation Services (Spanish currently) | DOH is looking for bilingual Spanish and English (adult or college age) speakers to help translate during case management and therapy sessions. Volunteers must agree to a background check and provide proof of vaccination. In addition, masks are worn during sessions.
When | Usually Monday - Thursday evenings between 5pm - 8pm. Some daytime services are needed as well.
