Easter Baskets

Art Therapy Easter Baskets

Our hearts are breaking with what we’ve read in the news about Afghanistan and now Ukraine. Many of us are looking for ways that we can help. During the Afghanistan crisis, LCPC provided some support to World Relief, a Christian relief and development organization which, among other things, works with refugees, immigrants, and displaced persons. Now, we have some opportunities to further partner with them as they minister to refugees who are resettling in southern California. Read below about an opportunity to provide Art Therapy Easter Baskets as well as an opportunity to learn more about the global refugee situation and how we can help locally.

We have the opportunity to help provide Art Therapy Easter Baskets for refugee and immigrant children as part of World Relief’s Little Brushstrokes—Refugee Kids Art Program event. Bring an Easter basket (filled with candy, small toys, coloring books, etc.) and/or art supplies to the worship service on Easter Sunday (including Sunrise service at Memorial Park). The art supplies (especially 8x10in, 8x8in, or 11x14in canvases and Super Value Acrylic Paint Sets by Craft Smart® ) can be part of the Easter basket or separate.  These can also be brought to the church office during the week any time before Wednesday, April 20.
