The 9:00 am traditional service is held in our sanctuary, led by our pastoral team, and includes a short message tailored for children. Music consists of a blend of ancient, traditional and contemporary hymns, choral anthems and instrumental music and is led by the Chancel Choir, organ/piano plus orchestra and jazz band and other instrumental ensembles matched to the style of the day’s music. In any given month the style of music will range from classical to spirituals to ethnic to jazz to contemporary in a wide range, with themes always tied to the message of the Word and the liturgy of the day.
The 10:30am contemporary service is held in our Worship Arts Center (WAC), led by our pastoral team, and includes a short message tailored for children. Music features a worship band with guitars, drums, and vocals leading contemporary and timeless praise and worship songs.
Both services feature a short talk tailored for children.
There are activities for children (Kindergarten through 6th grade) during both services and for youth (7th – 12th grade) during the 10:30am service. Youth and children begin in the main worship service and then have the option of joining in staff-led, age-appropriate, socially-distanced activities during the remainder of the service. Children and youth of all ages are also always welcome to join with their families in attending the entire service.
Both services continue to be live streamed for online viewing. Visit live.lacanadapc.org to view these services.
