April 29 - May 1
Calling all mothers, daughters, and sisters! Join us this year for our annual Women’s Retreat. Our retreat speaker, Laura Robinson
Harbert, will bring us encouraging and thought-provoking words of wisdom, and we’ll enjoy great food, fun and fellowship.
Introducing Laura Robinson Harbert
Laura is a clinical psychologist, a spiritual director, and an ordained Presbyterian minister. Laura’s passion is integrating her experience
as a clinical psychologist with spiritual growth and discipleship. She enjoys the opportunity to preach, teach, and lead retreats on
subjects that integrate psychology and faith. Laura has a private practice in Pasadena and is volunteering one day a week at Homeboy
Industries, providing therapy for formerly incarcerated men and women and former gang members. Laura and her husband Mike have
five children between the ages of 29 and 36, and one beloved grandson! She loves reading, exploring on her tandem bike with her
husband, cooking, hiking, and wandering around Vroman’s as often as possible!
Theme: Ordinary Saints
To all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1:7
What does it mean to live like a saint as we walk through our very ordinary, very flawed lives? What is holy about my day-to-day life? Join
Laura Harbert as she uses Tish Warren’s book, Liturgy of the Ordinary, as a guide to help us open our eyes to ways that God is speaking,
inviting and transforming us through the very extraordinary ordinary lives each of us is living!
