For 39 years, LCPC Parent Education has been helping families thrive. Our program nurtures parents in a Christian atmosphere by providing quality education, resources, support and friendships. See what people are saying about Parent Ed here!
Approximately, 400 parents and children are on campus every week to participate in our programs. As our tagline boasts, “If you have a child 0-18, we have a class for you!”
Our education program offers classes for parents at every stage of their parenting journey.
Parent and Child Classes: Classes for parents of children ranging from infants to five years old. For children, it is an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with mom or dad, while exploring a rich and varied environment with children their own age. For parents, there are discussions on pertinent parenting issues led by a staff of experienced, caring teachers specially trained in child development, family counseling, and education. Teacher assistants, who are also experienced with children, facilitate confidence and comfort as well as maintaining a stimulating and safe environment.
These classes include Babies, Older Babies, New Babies (2nd semester only), Non-Separating Toddlers, Two’s, Parenting 3-4’s and Family Class.
Discussion Only: For those parents who cannot attend the full class with their child but would like to attend the discussion time of a Parent and Child class, we offer a discussion only option. You can attend for one hour, without your child, to participate in the vibrant discussion time of the class alongside other parents.
Discussion only is available for Non-Separating Toddlers, Two’s, Parenting 3-4’s and Family Class.
Parent Only Classes: Classes for parents of school aged children, kindergarten through high school. For parents, this is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the developmental stage of your child and how best to guide them through while staying connected as a family. You will participate in rich discussions and receive informational resources.
These classes include Parenting Elementary Kids, Parents of Tweens, Parents of High Schoolers, Parenting your Exceptional Child (2nd semester).
Parent Express: A special 4-6 week class meeting once a week on a weekday evening. Each year a unique topic of parenting is explored with an experienced parent ed instructor. This year we will have a 4 week “Parenting Tweens” class meeting Wednesday nights in October with Paige Dunbar.

As I enter my 28th year of administration, education & counseling, I am honored to be part of this very special program that touches so many lives. As a parent of three children, I am thrilled by all the practical resources we offer. My life passion is helping families thrive—and it has been my honor to journey with so many families in Southern California since 1989. I also love connecting families to the amazing resource of God—and watch Him work powerfully in their lives. Come join the life changing legacy of LCPC Parent Ed where we honestly journey through life together!
