Of course, we’re called to love our neighbors every day, but we wanted to launch our Thriving Children, Thriving Families initiative with three weeks of opportunities to show our love to our northwestern Pasadena neighbors. We know from the “5 love languages” that “Acts of Service” and “Quality Time” are two ways to show our love. So… 80-100 people from LCPC took part, loving our neighbors through: reading to children and re-painting the reading room at Stars, putting together beds for families coming out of homelessness at Door of Hope, helping out at a harvest festival called HarambeeFest, helping host an Alumni Workshop for mothers at Elizabeth House, as well as many more ways of loving and serving.  See some of the photos below.
