Chancel Choir

Statement of Purpose

In the service of the Arts we become disciples of Christ, whose model of servant-hood allows us to experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to see and share the beauty of God’s love.

Chancel Choir

Be a part of leading worship on Sunday, make new friends, and experience how music speaks to the heart.  This non-auditioned choir, under the direction of Jack Lantz, welcomes all who love to sing and provides a wide variety of music from Classical to Jazz.  Those who have participated in high school & college choirs will enjoy the close fellowship that this group allows within a large congregation. Annual concerts include an October All Saints Concert, Christmas Concert, March Spring Concert, July Americana Concert and June Pops Show — All with LCPC Orchestra. Examples of the Chancel Choir’s major works repertoire include Bach’s “Cantata 140,” Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass,” Vierne’s “Solemn Mass,” Dvorak’s “Te Deum,” and Duke Ellington’s “Concert of Sacred Music,” Handel’s “Messiah,” Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols,” and Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Rehearsals – Thursdays 7:30 – 9:30 pm, plus Sunday services and seasonal concerts. New members are welcome to join at any time!
